  • Very high quality sushi, located in the Josun Palace hotel. Great place to use any coupons or discounts from the hotel. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to have a nice date meal, some business lunch discussions, or just a serene sushi meal with friends. We ordered a set menu, and while the price was not cheap, it certainly exceeded our expectations; very tasty, fresh selection, with excellent service.

  • Great kaiseki omakase course. Every ingredient was extremely fresh and well aged. Course and staffs were well organized. I enjoyed the chef’s explanation.

  • By far, my favorite sushi restaurant in Seoul. Their seasonal menus are always satisfyingly delicious, and the service is immaculate. I have come here for lunch, dinner, and actually rented a room for a family birthday party when my son turned one. I will continue to be a patron. I highly recommend dining here.

  • It is an authentic Japanese restaurant with contemporary wind of changes. It is introduced from Zagat as the best restaurant and according to its reputation, it is beyond excellent! Along with elegant ambience, it has the sweeping view of the city from the 20th floor, so called instagrammable, 뷰맛집. The journey of flavors by Mr. Murakami Tadashi and Mr. Taeheon Koo starts with Clam Chowder Soup (in stead of the common Chowanmush, steamed egg). Wise idea! Based on the luxurious and fresh seasonal ingredients, the Chefs presents some artistic cuisines which are unique and tasty. Steamed Abalone (MusiAwabi) with Abalone cream sauce and rice is excellent, recommendable with mixing all ingredients and wrapping in Nori (dried laver) TaKo Yawarakani (Octopus) is impressive. I also like crab with sea urchin roe which is full of flavors. . Suimono in-between presents new appetizing desire for the next dishes. Horse Mackerel Roll is very different style, very tasty. Most of all, the beauty of this restaurant lies in Sushi. The sliced ingredients are preserved in clean wrap for better chewy texture. Apart from the excellent ingredients, it is a taste that I can feel the sincerity of the master Chef. Their kind explanation on each dish is also helpful and thankful. The journey of flavors ends with the good scent of Matcha and its signature dessert Monaka. I really enjoy the tasteful dining here, the fantastic Sushi Cho and thank to Ms. Sunyoung Kwak and Ms. Nari Kim for their top notch service.

  • This place is the real deal. The fixed menu is a ride through Japanese flavors you won’t forget — every dish has its own story, and not a single miss along the way. Service is friendly, sharp, and makes you feel right at home. No gimmicks, no fuss — just top-level food done perfectly.

  • Absolutely great! The chef Kang(can't get his full name) made us excellent omakase.. I could say the tuna sushi is the greatest in my entire life.

  • First time at the beloved and considered the best Sushi restaurant in Seoul. Food was excellent but on the expensive side. I don’t like raw food so I had the grilled cod with miso sauce (KRW86,000). My 3 friends each enjoyed the Bishamonten Course (KRW250,000 per person). And we each had a shot of Kokuryu sake (KRW45,000 for 4 shots). The cod was very good as it should be considering that it is triple the price compared to non 5-star hotel restaurants. The set was about double the price but my friends assured me that it was the best sushi they ever had. We paid an extra KRW50,000 for a private room. The cool thing was that all prices are inclusive of service charges and VAT, which can add 21% to the bill. What impressed me most was the excellent service. I arrived 20 minutes early and the female captain (LEE Jin Hee) and male server (PARK Jun Hwan) were extremely helpful & patient. Ms. LEE helped me navigate the extensive menu and suggested the best options and pairing for food & sake. Mr. PARK explained all the course items as each were served and even the best order to consume the sushi (start left and go right). As I had the relatively “cheap” no-set meal, Ms. LEE was kind enough to provide me with some freebees including an appetiser and desert so I wouldn’t feel left out. Very considerate indeed! Again, on the pricey side but definitely worth it for great food / service / location (20 floor) at my favourite hotel in Korea - the Westin Chosun. Ask for room/table facing hotel entrance which I believe is west facing. FYI, the Italian restaurant at this hotel is also considered the best and I strongly agree with that!

  • I had the Bishamonten course for dinner, which was 200,000 won (~175 USD). The atmosphere was comfortable, and the hospitality was great. Unfortunately, kitchen was not in sight and was hidden from the tables. Overall good sushi tasting menu, but wished there was more food given price paid, albeit being a dinner. I've heard that the Sushi Omakase here is excellent, however, so I plan to try and experience that as well. Overall, great dinner experience, but the price makes it a little difficult to come back, given that there are many other great sushi places at a more reasonable cost.
